What I've been up to....

With Christmas quickly approaching I find myself scrambling to get a  few last minute presents completed.  (anyone else out there finding themselves doing the same?)  These are a few layouts I created using the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection.  Which I thought was a perfect match to the black and white photos I found of my Great Grandparents holding my mother as a baby.  I ended up putting them into 12x12 3D shadow boxes that can be hung on the wall.  In order to not give you the glare of the glass I took the pictures before I framed them.  I hope you enjoy them and they give you a little inspiration!  :)  Stay tuned for more projects to be posted I have been a busy little bee the last week or so.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder....LOL

Just wanted to share with you a little funny poem that was written by Patsy Gaut, called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

The scrapbook store calls to me;
"We have things that are new!"
So I grab my purse and credit card;
An obsession I must do.

I buy this pretty paper...
Not one, but I buy two.
I get the one that matches;
They say its quite new.

In a blissful frenzy I buy what suits my taste.
But when I go back to my house I find that in my haste,

I have 4 of this one...
I bought it twice before...
I've fallen victim once again...
To my beloved scrapbook store!

LOL I read this and laughed so hard because it is so true!  So, I thought I would share it with you.  Have a wonderful day and happy scrappin'

A Copic Card

Hi, happy Tuesday!  Thank you all for stopping by today I just wanted to post a little card I made yesterday using the copic markers.  I colored the image in and fussy cut her out, backed her with a scallop nestabilities die and popped her up on pop dots.  The bottom of the card is a lace die cut which is from a Cheery Lynn die,  I think I'm addicted to this one lol I love it!  It looks just like lace without the added bulk of using the real thing.  I attached a tiny strand of pearls to the top of it and centered a light blue flower in the middle.  I hope you enjoy and feel inspired to break out your copics to see what fun you can create! :)

Have a great and crafty Tuesday!!!

Monkey Business

Happy hump day!! The work week is halfway through and I decided to make a little layout last night.  I used a picture of my son and I at the Rockport Oyster Fest.  There was a monkey there that you give a quarter too and he tips his hat and puts it in his pocket.  For a little more you can have a picture taken with him, after running out of quarters  my son wanted more lol.  So mommy had to dig a little deeper into her pocket and find "more", except all I had were bills since the rest of my change had quickly vanished into the monkeys pocket for safe keeping.  So we paid to have a picture taken with him, this is what we got. :)

For this layout I used Graphic 45 Le' Cirque paper I distressed all of the edges and made some paper rosette flowers out of the collection with my score board.  I added some Prima bling as well as some diecuts from the collection.  The banner, lace & butterfly die cuts I cut out using Cheery Lynn dies.  This was a fun and fairly simple project, I also made a tutorial on it that will be up on YouTube within a few days.  (still have some editing to do)

After seeing this sitting on my desk this morning my son said "Mommy I want to see a monkey" LOL I smiled and said son I'm looking at one :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!!  I hope this insipires you to create a layout today. Happy Crafting! :)

Handmade Smash book....

Today I finished making my version of a pretty cute smash book, that will be headed off to a sweet friend tomorrow.  I used Pink Paislee paper "Daily Junque" for the cover of the album, layered three layers of lace onto the cover and finished it off with a row of flat back pearls.  The Cameo in the center is a Websters Pages Cameo,  I used a nestables scallop die in the background to silhouette her out.  Trimmed her  with some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some bling.  All of the materials I used to make this book can be found in our store.  The inside pages were mostly scraps that I had in the scrap bin....What a great way to recycle!  :)  I bound the album with a zutter bind it all using 3/4" rings.  I hope you like it and feel inspired to break into your scrap bin and see what goodness you can create.

 Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Happy Scrappin' :)

Paris themed Cigar Box

Happy Friday!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful week.  I just finished up this little project it is a Paris themed cigar box.  I used Websters Pages paper (which is available in the store)  for the background and some vintage lace.  The journal page is a digital image I picked up somewhere along the line.  I added some flowers and crystal drops to decorate the image and added a Tim Holtz ornate plate that i distressed with some baby yellow acrylic paint.
Also, very very few Smash accessories came in today, (the manufacturer is sending out small orders a little at a time as they recieve it)  if you were one of the many that were waiting on some you may want to stop in and pick them up.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Thank you for stopping by today.

Back To The Grind....

Did everyone have a great weekend?  We took my two year old son to go see fireworks at the beach.   After getting out of the car and wanting to take a few pictures I realized I had taken the memory card out of my camera earlier that day when we went to Best Buy to buy another one, and had forgotton to replace it.  I was not very happy, It's a scrappers nightmare to not be able to take pictures lol...Anyways, I made a little card over the weekend using a Some Odd Girl Digi Image.  I colored the image in with copic markers and fussy cut her out, I cut the card on the Accucut machine and popped the mermaid up on popdots added some bling where the bubbles were in the image and distressed the edges in pink.  Added a little flower trim on the bottom, easy peasy.  :)  It was a fun and relaxing little project I mean who dosn't like to color.  LOL
Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!! :)

New Project In Process....

Happy Thursday, is everyone getting ready for the long weekend?  I have been working on a new project and it is not quite finished but I thought I would share what I have done so far.  I used the Graphic 45 paper collection Magic of Oz again.  The picture is not the greatest because the lighting was kinda weird in my store and I took this one with my phone.  But, I wanted to share it with you so I hope you don't mind.  I don't really want to tell you what the whole project is just yet, but I will very soon :)

I hope you like it so far.  Also, I wanted to share with you that the "Reflections of Days Gone By" project made it into the Graphic 45 Gallery so I was pretty happy about that. :)  Thanks for stopping by today, & happy crafting.
